Every summer we went to a differant one. There are many out west in warm climates. However, my personal favorite is Acadia on Mt. Desert Island in Maine. My father later started working there as a Park Naturalist and eventually retired there some 20 yrs ago. He still does boat tours in the summer months on the 'Sea Princess'. A little chilly for the time your taking a trip, but the scenery is gorgeous. Plenty of fun things for kids of all ages. If your not in to camping, there are plenty of hotels/motels or you could look into renting a house as well. My parents started taking me camping when I was just 3 months old.
