EPW’s Tattoo Adventure in Florida

In February 2010 I packed up my kid & flew to Boca Raton, Florida to hang w/ my BFF Allison Nazarian and her two kids … and while I was in town, we drove to Orlando to hang out with our friend Jason Rubacky & get my tattoo!

The tattoo is not because “Live Your Truth” is my brand (lol), but it is a visual reminder, a renewal of the decision I made back in June … to live my truth, to choose to be uncomfortable every day, to be a visible leader.

My new tattoo is the ink on my live your truth contract. The contract I made with myself.

But … good thing you don’t have to get a tattoo to start living your truth, eh?

    I got this tattoo for my 30th birthday last year: http://www.flickr.com/photos/catcom/3606778936/ (The leaves are now coloured in but I don't have a good photo.)

    I knew I wanted another tattoo but I took ages to come up with an idea that felt right. The flower is based on a marigold and it's my happiness, and each of the leaves is one of the people and things that makes me happy.

    Perhaps I am biased, but this is profound and awesome and hilarious. The chocolate butt and the Mazel Tov are the best. Oh, and the tatt is pretty awesome too!

    Way to go girl! You sure are out there living your truth. As I reminded you the other day when you were “funky” now you got a mood changing device right there on your wrist.

    Clever placement of tattoo- so can be easily hidden, but easily read.

    I'd say that no one can say that you're a faker now with the whole “live your truth” thing. Not that anyone would have a reason to, but should they be so lame…

    Look forward to seeing it in SXSW.
