“Modeling” Sucks!

Have you been told you need to “” what the successful A-lister people are doing? How’s that working out for you? Yeah, exactly. Here’s what I found was missing for me …

I love this message. "The only way to find your message is to start speaking it and putting yourself out there."

I too spent years, not figuring out whether I was a personal coach, a prosperity coach, a business coach...then I couldn't find my niche or target market...
I spent thousands, but you know what it was so worth it. The connections, the knowledge can never be replaced.

Now I've found it, I'm going so much faster and strangely enough, know what I'm doing and saying..

    Thanks for this Elizabeth!

You look so pretty in this video, speaking of modeling! You are just getting better and better on video.

I think you are absolutely right. Modeling doesn't work because it isn't really our own authentic voice. Thank you for your message.

    Best, Wendy

    Just testing this out.
  • Another great vid Elizabeth. I think that's one of the reasons teaching others how to be authentic is such a hot topic today because everyone is copying what other successful people are doing. When in reality, we have to learn how to look at the behind-the-scenes to see what it really takes; that's exactly what I did and I feel that as the Curvy Coach my business is now truly an extension of who I am and my style of teaching is different as well because of this realization. It's actually fun trying to grow this newfound phase of my business :)

    Keep the videos coming!
  • There's so much selling of "hope" out there it's easy to get pulled into it, thinking if you just model someone who *now* makes millions that we will immediately make millions. And yes, it can make the process *faster* but the journey is still necessary (and, really, it's the fun part!).

  • Elizabeth,
Thanks for sharing that, it's great to see when someone really gets the idea of using the tools that they have been taught but not just copying them out of the box.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

  • I loved this video, Elizabeth! I have been watching your videos for awhile and love your unique style. I couldn't agree more with what you say about modeling - there's a BIG difference between modeling and outright plagiarizing. I wrote a blog post around this same (or a very similar) topic a couple of days ago- must be because we've both noticed how cookie-cutter stuff not only doesn't feel right, but looks ridiculous when you do it. Keep the great messages coming! :)
  • We're going to be talking more about this on The Live Your Truth Project interviews that come launch on Monday, August 10th! :)
