“Are You a Hot Mogul? Take the Quiz and Find Out” by Sandy Grason
November 27, 2007 by Elizabeth Potts Weinstein · Leave a Comment
So first of all, what exactly is a mogul? Dictionary.com gives us this definition:
An important, powerful, or influential person: A very rich or powerful person; a magnate. a mogul of the movie industry.
I heard Kimora Lee Simmons (Baby Phat) use it in the intro to her reality show. She said something like "I’m a model, a mogul and a mom." I liked how it sounded so I looked it up. It’s become something of a game amongst my friends, "let’s be Hot Moguls" ~ we added "doing work we love and giving back to the world in a MAJOR way."
Take my quiz to find out if you’re already a Hot Mogul or if you’re on your way to getting there. Once you’ve tallied your points, I’ve got some tips for developing your Hot Mogul-ness. Send me your results and any more Hot Mogul Tips you come up with! We’ll be awarding the Hot Mogul Award in an upcoming issue- (there’s a prize!) so send us your entry- tell us why you are a Hot Rock Star Mogul. My intention is to surround myself with lots of Hot *Rock Star* Moguls- who lift me up, inspire me to play Bigger in my life and give their gifts, talents and abundance back to the world. I hope you’ll join me!

It’s important to acknowledge the power of positive thinking. This goes not only for yourself, but also for the people you surround yourself with.
Attitudes are catchy. Whether they’re positive or negative, they’re rubbing off on you. If you’re around people who complain, judge, spread negative gossip, blame others, and play victim roles, chances are you do, too. (ouch!)

Water spilled on laptop = good?
October 23, 2007 by Elizabeth Potts Weinstein · 1 Comment
How can spilling a glass of ice water on your laptop keyboard be a good thing? Yesterday afternoon I was shoo-ing my cat off my desk, and knocked over a glass of ice water on my MacBook Pro keyboard. I tried to clean up the mess with paper towels, but the damage was done — now the keyboard either does not work, or random keystrokes appear on the screen (in other words, it’s shorting out). So right now, my laptop is unplugged, with the battery pulled out, in drying mode. And I’m writing this blog to you on my husband’s PC desktop (ick).
Here’s what I have learned from spending the last 30 hours without my laptop. Read more
